About SitePath

The research you wish
someone had already done.

Built by solar development professionals who spent too many hours hunting through county PDFs before they could answer a single site question.

What SitePath is

SitePath is a pure research platform. We compile, verify, and continuously update county-level solar permitting data across every U.S. county, and score each one so you can compare markets instantly.

We are not a development firm. We are not a consultant. We have no financial stake in any county's outcome. The data exists for one reason: to give development teams accurate, unbiased intelligence so they can make better decisions faster.

How the data stays accurate

Every data point links to a primary source: county ordinances, board meeting minutes, or planning commission agendas. No summaries, no AI-generated content. If we can't verify something from a primary source, we don't include it.

The scoring model is continuously reweighted as the regulatory environment shifts. The full methodology, how each factor is weighted, which sources feed it, and how often it's reviewed, is openly documented. If you spot an error, email us. We aim to verify and correct data errors within 48 business hours.

Primary sources only
Every ordinance field links to an official government document. No summaries, no estimates.
Continuously updated
Moratoria, ordinance amendments, and board vote outcomes tracked as they happen.
No advisory agenda
We publish research, not recommendations. No project fees, no conflicts of interest.
